How to Size for the Perfect Fit
Option A: Use Our Perfect Fit Kit (Recommended)
You will receive The Perfect Fit nail sizing kit complimentary with your first order with MUSESSENCE. Our sizing kit provides a sample of Aprés Nail Gel-X® tips of your ordered shape and length in all available sizes so you can find your exact fit with confidence. Order The Perfect Fit Kit.
- Place each nail tip on your natural nail.
- Choose the tip that sits flush with your nail plate and covers sidewall to sidewall.
- Note the etched size number of the nail tip for each finger.
- Repeat for both hands.
Option B: Soft Measuring at Home
Clients looking for a faster alternative can measure their own nails and compare to the designated sizing chart to find their size. This may introduce a margin of error in sizing as these measurements do not take all factors of nail shape into account.
You will need a strip of clear tape, a fine-tip marker, and a ruler in imperial units (with millimeters).
- Place a strip of tape across your natural nail. Press firmly and smooth out any wrinkles or folded edges.
- Mark the widest points of both sides of your nail with a pen.
- Remove the tape from your nail, lay on a flat surface, and measure the distance between the two points in millimeters. This is your Inner Curvature (IC) measurement.
- Now, measure your nails in the widest points sidewall to sidewall directly by placing the ruler over your nail. This is your Width (W) measurement.
- Compare the measurements to the sizing charts below.

Warm tips:
- It is normal for your sizes to vary between your dominant and non-dominant hand. Size every nail.
- Always double check your work; make sure you have written the numbers for the correct fingers and correct hand.
How to Register Your Sizes
We will begin creating your order once your nail sizes have been registered. Visit the Nail Size Registry under your profile. Your sizes will apply to all future MUSESSENCE nail set orders* associated with your customer ID, unless you update them.
Warm tips:
- You can find your customer ID on your Perfect Fit sizing kit or in your order confirmation email.
- *While your registered sizes should translate between various nail shapes and lengths within the same brand, results can vary slightly depending on your natural nail curvature, nail plate length and width. When in doubt, add a sizing kit to your order at check out. This is the most accurate, stress-free way to ensure a perfect fit.
